A little bit of iteration goes a long way. One of my biggest struggles has always been to get inspired after my first draft. After I draw for a bit, I get stuck, and feel anxious. Then the anxiety makes me want to quit and move on to something else. I minimize Photoshop, watch some stupid French bulldog videos on YouTube, and when I come back to my work, I think: “wow. I just lost all my momentum.” The trick is to USE the anxiety. Don’t feed it into YouTube. Feed it into your work. 😉 Listen to music to get amped up, sure, but try ANOTHER pass. It’s usually worth it!
(Don’t worry, this takes lots of practice.)
